For the past 130 years, the Berkshire, Bucksinghamshire and Oxfordshire (‘BB&O’) Law Society have continued to promote the interests of the profession and have provided a strong focus for lawyers in the local area.

On Friday the 13^th October 2023 a team from Mercers attended the Annual BB&O Law Society Dinner and Awards. The event was held at the spectacular Castle Hotel in Windsor and attracted solicitors, barristers, and other legal professionals from various parts of BB&O.

Mercers’ were proud to attend the evening as nominees for the Law Firm of the Year 2023 Award. This recognition not only validates Mercers’ commitment to staying at the forefront of the legal field but also reaffirms the firm’s dedication to providing client-focused legal advice. Being acknowledged as a leading law firm in BB&O serves as testament to Mercers’ continuous efforts to provide expert legal advice. 

The event began with a red-carpet entrance and champagne reception before everyone took their seats in the main dining hall. After a quick game of heads or tails which was so nearly won by Samantha Griggs and Madeline Rumble, everyone was happy to be served with a delightful 3 course meal. The evening continued with a silent auction, speeches from the President of the Law Society, Razi Shah and a prop filled photography wall (evidence of our participation will remain classified due to defamation concerns. Let’s just say there were plenty of feather boas and wigs involved – but you didn’t hear that from us).

The evening ended with the awards announcements and whilst Mercers didn’t walk away with a win, the night was most definitely a success.

We would like to say congratulations to all the nominees and the finalist and a big thank you to the BB&O Law society for such a wonderful evening.
